The National Endowment for the Humanities has invited Hugo Perez ('04) as the guest speaker for the public component of their next board meeting on November 18th, 2011. Perez will give a presentation about his documentary film Neither Memory Nor Magic and the theme of 'poetry of witness' as represented by the life and poetry of the Hungarian poet Miklos Radnoti, the subject of his film.
Hugo joins an illustrious list of previous guest speakers including Henry Louis Gates Jr, filmmaker David Grubin, and Stephen Ennis, Chief Librarian of the Folger Shakespeare Library.

Thanks Judith.  I had a great receptions in DC and felt really honored to be asked to be the guest speaker.  I'm working to secure a PBS broadcast for Neither Memory Nor Magic in 2012.
