African American History Researcher Needed



Part-time researcher needed for content development of an African American History themed mobile phone application.  This mobile application is a companion piece to an upcoming PBS documentary, broadcasting nationally in 2012. It will
also serve as an interactive tool for K-12 educators.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of African American History demonstrated by a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in the subject or relevant experience, is able to work independently and provide
clear and on-time deliverables, and is detail oriented. Familiarity with mobile
technology and/or film and television production is a plus.

Very exciting! Do you need the person to be in NY or DC or any particular place? I think there are some great Workshoppers who could help, either themselves or thru folks they know, might be helpful to know if there's a geo-limit...
Judith brought up a good point. I'm in New York City, but you don't have to be. In fact, the geographic research areas we are covering initially are New York, Washington, DC, and Atlanta.
As long as you have a phone, or skype, or ichat, or all three, that works.
