OVEE is the very latest in social TV, and it’s exclusive to public media!
Stations and their partners can present live online screening events on demand — with real-time interactive chat, polls, and other features — using any PBS Video (COVE) content. OVEE events can support station goals in engagement, development, promotion, and education.
Fresh from the 2013 SxSW Interactive Conference, industry analysts say “everyone is going to have to take note” of OVEE, which may make “the concept of second screen…go the way of the VCR.”
OVEE is in its beta test phase, with over 25 public media partners participating, including: TV and radio stations, minority consortia members NPBC and CAAM, and series programs like FRONTLINE, POV and PBS NewsHour. System-wide availability is anticipated for fall 2013.
Join ITVS, and station beta partners KLRU and NPT, for an NCME peer network webinar this Wednesday, April 17 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time to learn how your station can participate in this exciting innovation in digital engagement.
OVEE is free to all public media organizations, thanks to support from CPB.
