My colleague Tim Sternberg and I just started photography on location in China a few days ago for a film on the artist Mu Xin. We expect it to be sort of a companion film to a previous piece, "Salim Baba."
We've been in touch with Sonia Feigenbaum at the NEH, and we're strongly considering a "development" application to the NEH's Bridging Cultures Through Film: International Projects program (http://www.neh.gov/grants/guidelines/BridgingCultures_Film.html).
The application is a hefty one, so we'd need an ace grant writer to get our application to the finish line. Ideally we're looking for someone with a winning track record with NEH media fund grant writing.
The application is due Jan 5, so it's a tight deadline. We have an extended proposal and budget built in, plus a team of top-notch humanities advisors to lend their name and academic advisement. Would need to expand upon certain sections as per the application requirements, and format accordingly for submission. With these pieces in place we're sure the right candidate could knock this one out.
Pay rate negotiable depending on candidate's experience.
