WGBH's Studio Six , producers of PBS shows like Simply Ming, Sacred Journeys, and America After Ferguson, has a number of staff openings.  Perhaps you know some good candidates?

Production Assistant

StudioSix is looking for a Production Assistant with field experience to assist on various ongoing series and specials.  The P.A. will assist with a full range of production and post, including travel & shoot planning, booking guests, preparing shoot itineraries and schedules, logging media footage, compiling releases, making phone calls, and assisting in shutdown.  Looking for someone who is comfortable working on multiple productions at the same time.

Production Manager

StudioSix is also looking for a Production Manager who will be responsible for managing the production, post production, scheduling and coordination of activities for the unit. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in creating a consistent, streamlined production schedule and ensuring that all production related activities run on time, on budget and in compliance with PBS, WGBH, federal and union requirements. The Production Manager is expected to be thoroughly familiar with media workflow, production methods and media management systems, although some WGBH-specific training will be provided.

Have these positions been filled or are you still looking?

I'm not sure.  No one's been announced yet as filling the positions, but there was a round of interviews a week or so ago.  The best way to tell is to go to wgbh.org/jobs and look for them; that's the way you apply, too.

Got some great candidates?
